Aakash was born in Bengaluru, India, and is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Shiv Nadar University, India. He first joined ESI Lab through the ANU Future Research Talent (FRT) Program and is now conducting his undergraduate research thesis with ESI Lab.

Prior to this, Aakash gained valuable experience working on batteries and catalyst development for alkaline water splitting at Shiv Nadar University. Building on this foundation, his current research focuses on designing bifunctional and universal pH catalyst materials to enable efficient overall water splitting.

Through his work, Aakash is contributing to advancements in sustainable energy technologies and the development of innovative catalytic systems for clean hydrogen production.
